Amber Zabel, CPG

  • Amber graduated from Warner Pacific University in 2010, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Amber joined Riverside Guardian Services, Inc. at the end of 2012 after she had completed the Certified Professional Guardianship Course at the University of WA. Prior to this Amber worked for 7 years as a Business Manager for a national long term care provider based out of Canada. It was during this time that Amber became familiar with the work of Professional Guardians and eventually led her to pursue Certification as a Professional Guardian through the Certified Professional Guardianship Board. Amber truly enjoys working with her clients, and takes great pride in assisting them achieve their goals and finding positive solutions to even the most challenging situations. When Amber is not spending time with her colleagues or clients, she can be found enjoying all that the beautiful Pacific NW has to offer and spending time with her husband and children. Amber has a passion for advocacy and social justice and spent three years working as a volunteer with CASA for the foster youth in Clark County. Amber has also served as Guardian and POA for her siblings, both of whom are disabled. These experiences have contributed to shaping her commitment to helping those who need assistances in a person centered, compassionate, and respectful manner.

Melissa Wilcox, CPG

  • Melissa Wilcox joined Riverside Guardian Services, Inc., at the start of 2015 as a case manager. Melissa enjoyed her work with clients, and being able to assist the Guardians and clients to find meaningful solutions to complex issues. Melissa became a certified professional Guardian in 2017. Prior to this Melissa owned and operated her own child care center, while she worked toward completing her Bachelor’s degree with the University of Phoenix where she studied Business and Accounting. Melissa when not working with clients enjoys spending time with her children. Melissa loves the beach and will steal away to her family’s property along the shores of Washington’s coast as often as she can.

Angela Mucha, CMA

  • Angela had worked for 18 years as a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant before deciding to join Riverside Guardian Services, Inc., as a Medical Case Manager. Angie started her career working in OB/GYN specialty and the last 16 years she spent her time with Family Practice/Urgent care with Diabetes focused care seeing a range of patients from Pediatrics to Geriatrics. Angie loves caring for members of her community and ensuring their health and well-being are attended to. Angela’s passion for providing compassionate and competent care make her a valuable asset to the clients of Riverside Guardians. Angela has also served as Lead Trainer at the Family Wellness Center and fully enjoyed training the upcoming Medical Assistants in caring for their patients with a priority in compassion, support and ethical practices. Angela recently decided to change careers and is working toward becoming a Certified Professional Guardian with Riverside Guardian Services, Inc. When Angie is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Angela has 3 children, a 16-year-old and a 7-year-old; and her middle child who passed away in 2010 but who is with us every day. Angela enjoys kayaking, horseback riding, playing softball, snowboarding and hiking and loves living in the PNW. Angela lives on a farm with chickens, bunnies, ducks, cats, dogs and horses, who all keep her very busy.

Theresa Soucie

  • Theresa joined Riverside Guardian Services since Jan. 2019, as an Assistant Case Manager. Theresa truly enjoys helping the most vulnerable in our community and has spent her life in acts of services to others. Theresa serves as the caregiver for her mother-in-law, and also helped care for her own mother until her passing. Prior to this Theresa was an active volunteer a women's shelter for Domestic Violence Survivors located in Portland Oregon. When not at work, Theresa enjoys volunteering for her granddaughter’s softball team and spending time with her husband, her beautiful daughters, and her 6 amazing grandchildren. Theresa loves nature and is happiest while camping and hiking in the beautiful Pacific NW.

Colby Mcfarlane

  • Colby joined Riverside Guardian Services, Inc, in the Spring of 2021. Colby brings with her a wide variety of experience and talents including, being bi-lingual in English and Spanish. Colby is working currently on efforts to improve processes and communication as Riverside expands their service area to include additional Washington Counties. Prior to joining Riverside, Colby worked in Human Resources and Development. Colby is an avid dog lover, and she has never met a dog she didn’t like. Colby, when not working, enjoys spending her time soaking up the sun, kayaking, and spending time with her lovely daughter.
